Hamilton Southeastern High School is excited to announce that Adam Morris will be recommended as the Royals next head football coach at the next school board meeting.
Coach Morris is currently an assistant football coach at Noblesville High School.  Prior to working at Noblesville, Coach Morris was the Head Football Coach at Muncie Central High School.  When hired, he was the youngest head football coach in the state of Indiana.  The 2016 Muncie Central football team had its best season in 10 years (7-4), won the most games in a season, and collected its first post-season win in over a decade. Adam is a Ball State University alum.  He was a member of the 2008 undefeated team (12-0).  During his career as a defensive lineman, he saw action in 36 consecutive games and started 24 consecutive games.  He was captain of the 2011 team and earned the 2011 Paul Schudel Strength & Conditioning Award.
Adam is originally from Dublin, Ohio, where he was a two-sport athlete (football and track & field) at Dublin Scioto High School.  He and his wife Jessica live in Indianapolis and have one daughter, Jayde.
Coach Morris is licensed in Special Education, Physical Education and Health Education.  He has been recommended to teach Physical Education and Health at Hamilton Southeastern High School.  Adam will start in his new position at HSE in January.
“Adam is excited to become a Royal and work with our students both in and outside of the classroom.  Adam is an energetic and engaging teacher and coach who comes highly recommended.  We share his excitement and look forward to him joining our staff.”
Matt Kegley, HSE Principal
“When we started our search for a head football coach, we asked current players, coaches, and parents for qualities and characteristics they would like to see in our next coach.  We used this list when screening and interviewing candidates – and Adam met these criteria.  He will bring incredible excitement, enthusiasm, and work ethic when working with our student-athletes and leading our football program.  We cannot wait to introduce Adam to HSE and our football community and watch him get to work.”
