In recognition of National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, Hamilton Southeastern Schools is holding “A Personal Conversation with Bob Kravitz,” featuring a conversation and panel discussion about mental health awareness. The event will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Hamilton Southeastern High School’s Little Theater, 13910 E. 126th St., Fishers.
In an effort to shed light on this stigmatized topic, Superintendent Dr. Allen Bourff and HSE senior class president and president of Bring Change to Mind, Sam Huston, will lead an interview-style conversation with Bob Kravitz, a well-known sports columnist, on his personal struggles with mental illness, depression and anxiety.
Additionally, there will be a panel discussion of community leaders who are all working to create a community that is smarter about mental health and challenging others to discuss sensitive topics such as mental illness and suicide.
