The Hamilton Southeastern girls lacrosse team defeated Guerin Catholic 16-12 to win its season opener on Tuesday.
Rachel Harris, Elyse Dawley and Avery Szot each scored three goals, with Harris and Dawley both making one assist. Harris also had three ground balls.
Lauren Madden and Sydney Bowman both scored two goals, with Madden dishing out an assist and getting three caused turnovers. Olivia Schenck had a goal and an assist, Avery Eichler scored one goal and Chloe Szot handed out an assist.
Goalkeeper Katie Campbell made five saves.
