Hamilton Southeastern’s boys team came back from an early deficit and used a big fourth quarter to beat North Central 57-54 in a Friday home game.
The Panthers led 14-9 after one quarter, then scored in the second to take the game’s biggest lead at 16-9. The Royals got back to within 20-18 by halftime. North Central led 38-34 after three periods, but Southeastern poured in 23 points in the fourth quarter to get the win. The game featured 14 lead changes and 10 ties.
Three Royals players scored 12 points: Donovan Hamilton, Reph Stevenson and Joe Karwowski. Southeastern outrebounded the Panthers 35-28, with Stevenson collecting nine rebounds, Eli Robinson getting seven and Karwowski pulling six. Deion Miles dished out five assists.
The Royals are 2-1 and play next Friday at Fishers in the Mudsock game.
