Synopsis
Eight-year-old Tina Denmark knows she was born to play Pippi Longstocking, and she will do anything to win the part in her school musical. “Anything” includes murdering the leading lady!
Ruthless! tells the story of a sociopathic child-star, her ambitious agent, naïve housewife mother, and conniving grandmother. With music by Marvin Laird and book and lyrics by Joel Paley, this murderous musical spoofs Broadway musicals, like Gypsy and Mame, and movies such as The Bad Seed and All About Eve. This musical is a darkly hilarious romp through the world of Broadway, and homage to overly-ambitious child actors, sleazy agents, poison pen critics, and jealous understudies … no one is safe!
This play is rated PG-13 for dark humor and situations, along with mild language.
