‘Hounds & Tigers best their opponents in volleyball

The Carmel boys volleyball team won two matches last week.

The Greyhounds swept Cathedral on Wednesday 25-14, 25-15, 25-12. Esiah Lynch hit four kills, Luca Anderson put down three kills and Nicholas Wold had two. Lynch made three blocks and Anderson had one, while Wold dished out four assists.

Carmel won a four-set match over Park Tudor on Thursday, using consistent defense to pick up a 25-18, 25-14, 29-27, 25-22 victory. Lynch had 13 kills, followed by Aidan Thomas with eight, and Jaxon Lyon and Anderson with five each. Thomas also had three aces and one dig.

The ‘Hounds are 4-2 and play Wednesday at Franklin Community.

Fishers rallied to beat Perry Meridian in four sets on Thursday, 22-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-15.

The Tigers are 6-1 and host the ninth annual Fishers March Madness tournament this morning for junior varsity and varsity. The freshman team plays today at Hamilton Southeastern.
