Carmel sailed to a road win at Fort Wayne South on Saturday, by the score of 68-48.
The Greyhounds led 26-22 at halftime, then pulled away in the second half with back-to-back 21-point quarters. Mackenzie Wood led Carmel with 18 points, while Bridget Dunn scored 16.
The ‘Hounds outrebounded the Archers 35-15. Macy Berglund collected nine rebounds, with Mackenzie Wood grabbing seven. Dunn and Reagan Hune each had five rebounds.
Carmel is 7-9 and plays at Anderson on Wednesday. The Greyhounds will then host Kokomo on Thursday in a make-up game; the contest was originally scheduled for last week but was postponed after the explosion at Carmel High School.
