After a 12-day break, Carmel got back into action with a 69-48 win at Anderson on Thursday.
The Greyhounds led 20-13 after the first quarter and 37-27 at halftime. Carmel then ran away with the fourth quarter, outscoring the Indians 19-6.
John Michael Mulloy had an outstanding performance from the free-throw line, making 16 of 18 foul shots. Mulloy’s free throws were the majority of his 22 points. Andrew Owens scored 13 points and Jalen Whack added 11.
Whack led the way on the boards, pulling seven rebounds. Cole Jenkins corralled five rebounds and also made five steals.
Carmel is now 5-3 for the season and will host Class 4A No. 9 Center Grove next Friday, Jan. 5, in a Metropolitan Conference game.
