Carmel came back from an early deficit to beat Fort Wayne Carroll 53-42 Saturday night at the Eric Clark Activity Center.
The Class 4A No. 9 Greyhounds trailed 15-8 after the first quarter, but worked their way back to a 24-24 tie by halftime. Carmel then took the lead in the third period and extended it throughout the half.
Jalen Whack led the ‘Hounds with 18 points, with Luke Heady draining three 3-pointers on his way to 13 points. John Michael Mulloy added 10 points.
Carmel is now 13-6 and travels to Warren Central on Friday for a Metropolitan Conference game.
