‘Hounds lose tough game at Penn

Carmel dropped a tough game at Penn on Saturday, falling 53-52.
The Greyhounds led 21-16 after the first quarter and 37-28 at halftime. But the Kingsmen cut Carmel’s lead to 48-46 by the end of the third period, then outscored the ‘Hounds 7-4 in a low-scoring fourth quarter.
Four Carmel players reached double figures, led by Reagan Hune’s 16 points. Mackenzie Wood added 13, Bridget Dunn scored 12 and Macy Berglund contributed 11 points and seven rebounds. Dunn pulled six rebounds.
The Greyhounds are 6-8 and host Center Grove on Friday.
