Carmel picked up its third consecutive win on Friday, holding off North Central 45-41 at the Eric Clark Activity Center.
The Class 4A No. 5 Greyhounds led 13-7 after the first quarter and 23-16 at halftime. The Panthers cut slightly into Carmel’s lead during the second half, but the ‘Hounds held on for the win.
Sam Orme scored 20 points, including three 3-pointers, and also led the rebounds with eight. Peter Suder added 12 points, pulled seven rebounds and dished out four assists. Josh Whack went 7-of-8 from the free-throw line and Charlie Williams made two blocked shots.
Carmel is 5-2 and hosts New Albany tonight.
