Carmel overcame an early deficit to beat Lawrence North 5-3 Wednesday at Hartman Field, thus earning a Metropolitan Conference sweep of the Wildcats.
Lawrence North scored two runs in the top of the third inning. The Greyhounds got on the board in the fourth, when Christian Williams hit a sacrifice fly to score JD Rogers.
Carmel got in front for good in the sixth inning by scoring four runs. Drew Olssen singled home Hunter Keip to tie the game, then Alex Brooks brought in two runs with a left field hit. Logan Urbanowski and Olssen both scored. Adams then hit a sacrifice fly to send Williams home.
Olssen, Rogers and Urbanowski each had two hits. Brandon Rosenfeld got the win in relief. Aiden Bradbury struck out six in five innings.
Carmel is 5-1 in MIC play and 9-5 overall. The Greyhounds host Ben Davis on Saturday morning for a conference doubleheader.
