Carmel picked up another big victory on Friday, beating Warren Central 82-50 in a Metropolitan Conference game at the Eric Clark Activity Center.
The Class 4A No. 1 Greyhounds steadily built their lead over the Warriors, going up 23-14 after the first quarter and 41-28 at halftime. Amy Dilk had an outstanding game, scoring 29 points, dishing out eight assists, pulling seven rebounds and making four steals.
Tomi Taiwo added 12 points and handed out four assists, Jasmine McWilliams and Reagan Hune both scored 11 points. Blake Smith collected six rebounds, with Vanessa Mullins grabbing five boards. Maddi Sears handed out five assists.
Carmel is now 3-0 in the MIC and 10-0 overall. The ‘Hounds will play in the Chicagoland Classic today, taking on Rock Island (Ill.)
