Carmel picked up its second straight win on Tuesday, beating Cathedral 80-61 at the Eric Clark Activity Center.
The Class 4A No. 9 Greyhounds led 19-16 after the first quarter, then got going in the middle periods by outscoring the Irish 42-18. That led to a 37-25 lead at halftime, and a 61-34 advantage after three periods.
Kate Clarke scored 24 points for Carmel, draining four 3-pointers. Bridget Dunn earned another double-double, with 17 rebounds and 14 points. Fatima Valiente added 10 points, while Hannah Lach made three 3s on her way to nine points and also handed out five assists. Emily Roper had two blocked shots.
The Greyhounds are 14-7 and host Ben Davis on Friday to finish the regular season and Metropolitan Conference play.
