Carmel won an all-county game with Hamilton Southeastern 49-30 Friday at the Eric Clark Activity Center.
The Class 4A No. 2 Greyhounds steadily built their lead throughout the game, outscoring the Royals in each quarter. Carmel went up 10-5 by the end of the first quarter, then led 27-13 at halftime and 43-25 after three periods.
Peter Suder scored 18 points for the ‘Hounds with Charlie Williams contributing 10 points. Williams also collected nine rebounds, with Josh Whack, Suder and Sam Orme all pulling five. Suder also handed out five assists and Williams blocked two shots.
Alex Totton scored 10 points for Southeastern, with Dalton Retzner adding eight points. John McCall led the rebounds with four and Vinny Buccilla dished out six assists.
Carmel improved to 17-2 and will play at Fort Wayne Carroll this afternoon. The Royals are 10-8 and return to action next Friday at Brownsburg for their final Hoosier Crossroads Conference game of the season.
