The Salvation Army has announced that two Horizon Bank locations Hamilton County will host special Red Kettles in their lobbies as part of a $5,000 match challenge today, Dec. 15.

For one day only Horizon Bank customers and visitors will have a chance to double the impact of their donations to their local Salvation Army.

Those locations are:

  • 1216 W. Carmel Drive, Carmel
  • 44 S. 8th St., Noblesville

“We can’t reach our goals without partners and collaborators like Horizon Bank,” said Major Rachel Stouder, Area Commander for The Salvation Army of Central Indiana. “Their initiative and creativity to welcome us in their doors this way is an exciting opportunity, and we look forward to celebrating the success!”

Horizon Bank, which has over 70 locations across Indiana and Michigan, has offered the match to encourage their customers to support the important efforts of The Salvation Army as they help their neighbors in need. 2023 has been a challenging year for many Hoosier households, making the match especially appreciated in each service area.

“The Salvation army continues to do an amazing job addressing the needs and serving our local communities,” said Josh Shelley, VP and District Manager with Horizon Bank. “We are excited to support the kettle drive again this year and encourage others to donate if they can.”

Vital services at these facilities include housing and support for homeless and abused women, food pantries and feeding programs, emergency financial assistance, youth camps and sports, addiction treatment, and so much more.

“I am grateful for all our community partners as The Salvation Army continues to serve the needs of our communities throughout the state of Indiana,” added Major Marc Johnson, Divisional Commander for The Salvation Army Indiana Division. “Our friends at Horizon Bank continue to support our efforts, for which we are deeply grateful.”

Every donation given to The Salvation Army through the annual Red Kettle Campaign provides help and hope to those in need, and all gifts stay right here in Indiana. Visit SalvationArmyIndiana.org to learn more about how you can help The Salvation Army share Love Beyond Christmas in 2024.
