Hinkle Creek Elementary School third graders Evan and Greyson were challenged by their teacher, Mrs. Hobbs, to find a way to spread kindness. They chose to organize a crazy hair day at Hinkle Creek to raise money for the Riverview Health Surgery Center. Evan and Greyson said they chose Riverview Health because they both had family members who’ve had surgery here (and Evan’s baby sister was born here). This week, they presented the $190.10 they raised in student donations to Seth Warren, Riverview Health president and CEO and Megan Wiles, Riverview Health Foundation executive director. Then, Riverview’s surgery director, Machel Lambert, RN, took them on a behind-the-scenes tour of the operating rooms.
