Ivy Tech Community College Hamilton County invites the community to an upcoming blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12 in the campus gym, 300 N. 17th St., Noblesville.

In partnership with Versiti, this event aims to support local hospitals and patients in need by encouraging students, faculty, and members of the public to make a life-saving donation.

To register for an appointment, please visit Versiti Registration Link. All donors will receive a $10 e-gift card to a vendor of their choice, provided a valid email is on file.

Donor requirements

  • Age & health: Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental permission), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health.
  • Safety: Blood donation is completely safe. Each donation is collected with sterile, single-use equipment to ensure there is no risk of disease transmission.
  • Process: The donation experience takes around one hour, including a brief medical screening, the donation itself (approximately 10 minutes), and time for refreshments.

Preparation tips

  • Sleep, eat, hydrate: Get a good night’s sleep, eat a nutritious meal, and drink plenty of fluids beforehand.
  • Bring ID: Donors are asked to bring identification, like a driver’s license or donor ID card.

What to expect during donation

Donors are welcome to relax, read, listen to music, or stream their favorite shows while donating. Afterward, everyone is encouraged to rest, enjoy a snack, and feel great about the difference they’ve made. Donors can give blood every 56 days, meaning up to six times a year.

Help save lives with just one hour of your time – come to Ivy Tech on Nov. 12.
