Foundations for the “Welcome to Sheridan” signs were poured on Friday. Two signs will welcome visitors and residents to the northwestern Hamilton County town.

The signs will be located on the east and west edges of Sheridan. The east sign is located at State Road 38 and Lamong Road, and the west sign is located at State Road 47 and West Road.

“This is a community project initiated by the Sheridan Coalition Group that I am involved with,” Hamilton County Commissioner Mark Heirbrandt said. “The group has performed many great community projects for the Town of Sheridan. Working on the project brought back some memories when I was able to help finish the concrete growing up in my family construction business pouring and finishing concrete most of my early life.”

Heirbrandt and Sheridan Coalition Group pointed out the generous contributions and volunteers that made the project happen:

  • Baker Construction – Brian Baker and employees: Jake Leigh, Seth Carey, Alberto Mendoza and Erik Aguliar
  • Sagamore Concrete and Chris Beaver
  • RQAW Engineering & Design – Troy Woodruff and Dylan Sievers
  • Coordination assistance by Steve Wood
