The members of the Hamilton Heights Educational Foundation would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all those individuals who helped make this year’s golf outing a wonderful success. Funds generated through the annual event, now in its 29th year, give students and teachers a chance to grow and explore beyond traditional boundaries through grant money.
“We were pleased with the turnout despite the heat, and we avoided the predicted storms,” said Melissa Martin, president, Hamilton Heights Educational Foundation.
Martin, along with the help of the entire board, has organized the annual event during her seven-year tenure (three as president) with the Foundation. “We are grateful for the dedicated staff at Bear Slide, the opportunity to play on one of the state’s Top 10 golf courses, and for their support of all things Hamilton Heights.”
The team of Phil Beaver, Evan Fiscus, Spencer Loomis and Taylor Fletcher took first place at the 2018 HHEF Golf Scramble. The team of Brian Doak, Michael Bechert, Seth Rooney and Eugene Hsiao came in second. The team of John Lewis, Doug Howie, Dan Kahl and Doug Stis team was third.
Hudson Hochstedler had the longest drive for men and Ellie Arrowood took first for the women’s longest drive contest. Chad Hardwick was closest to the pin for men and Sydni Zebrauskas and Stephanie Gault tied for the women’s. Gino Small won the putting contest.
“We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the 2018 HHEF sponsors, players and volunteers who helped make this event possible this year,” added Martin.
