Hamilton Heights Middle School’s boys cross country team defended its MIC championship and brought the traveling trophy home again this year.
The boys dominated by having all seven runners in the top 11 out of 61 runners. Nick Bragg was the MIC champion with a time of 10:29 and Tommy Girolamo was the runner-up. The others placing in the top 11 were Benji Girolamo (fifth), Levi Heuer (sixth), Kaden Cantlon (seventh), Jonah Wolfgang (eighth), and Luke Allwardt (11th).
“The team this year has been very competitive against other teams and themselves,” HHMS Boys/Girls Cross Country Head Coach Meg Hite said. “The top 7 that are the scores and bumpers for the team has changed throughout the season, it hasn’t been the same runners every meet. The boys’ team are hard workers, and they push each other to do their best. It has been a fun season. Congratulations to all the boys on the team even if their name isn’t mentioned above it takes all of them.”
