Sterling Weatherford is headed to the Los Angeles Rams.
The Hamilton Heights graduate was signed off waivers from the Chicago Bears, according to an nbcsports.com report and confirmed on nfl.com’s transaction report. The Bears waived Weatherford on Tuesday, with the Rams signing him on Wednesday.
Weatherford is beginning his second year in the NFL. The linebacker signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent, but was waived before the regular season began. He immediately signed with Chicago, where he played in 14 games last season. During that season, Weatherford totaled four tackles, three solo and one assist.
