Heights girls cross country wins Frankfort Invite

The Hamilton Heights girls cross country team opened its season with a win Thursday at the Frankfort Invitational.
The Huskies edged Harrison 36-44 for first place. All seven of Heights’ runners finished in the top 17, with Maria Mitchell taking third and Abby Christiansen finishing in fifth.
Heights’ boys team placed sixth. Elijah Wallace led the Huskies by taking 11th, with Price Knowles coming in 15th.
“Coach Bowen and I were pleased with the results and how the kids competed,” said Heights boys coach Bill Trachtman.
