The Hamilton Heights girls cross country team won the North Montgomery Charger Classic on Thursday.
The Huskies scored 23 points, taking four of the top eight positions. Freshman Maria Mitchell won the race in 19:18, with Abby Christiansen taking second in 20:36. Abby Roth placed sixth in 21:53 and Morgan Guthrie finished eighth in 21:57.
Other Huskies runners were Elizabeth Shrock (13th, 22:19), Alex Lopez (16th, 22:50) and Maddie Dotlich (22nd, 23:04).
Heights’ boys team placed sixth with 165 points. Elijah Wallace placed 17th in 18:39, with Price Knowles taking 18th in 18:44.
Other Heights runners were Tony Harden (36th, 20:03), Dawson Phifer (49th, 20:35) and Cory Vonfeldt (56th, 20:59).
