Heights girls & boys teams both win at Husky Invitational

The Hamilton Heights swim teams won both trophies at the Husky Invitational, which took place last Saturday.

Team scores were not available, but the Huskies won both the girls and boys meets. Heights’ girls won 10 of the 12 events, with the Heights boys winning six events.

In the girls meet, Amira Leer (200 freestyle and butterfly), Ayla Madara (individual medley and 500 free) and Sophia Hulen (50 and 100 freestyles) were all double winners for the Huskies. Campbell Lively and Illiana Bowyer finished 1-2 in diving and Heights swept all three relays.

In the boys meet, Aiden Clarke was a double winner in the IM and butterfly. Rudy Bowman was first in the 200 free, Gabe Roosa won the backstroke and Heights placed first in the 200 and 400 free relays.

Guerin Catholic also competed at the meet. The Golden Eagles won two events in the girls meet: Christiana Dunasky triumphed in the backstroke and Taylor Tragesser won the breaststroke.

Guerin Catholic’s boys team won four events. Will Ladine was a double winner in the 100 free and breaststroke, Sam Holl was first in the 500 free and the Golden Eagles began the meet with a victory in the medley relay.
