Heights celebrates Youth Art Month with artist reception

Members of the Hamilton Heights Art Department cordially invite the community to join in the celebration of Youth Art Month with a special reception and art exhibition from 5 to 7:30 p.m. this evening, Thursday, March 7 at the Hamilton North Public Library, 209 W. Brinton St., Cicero. The exhibition will feature outstanding two- and three-dimensional work created by students from Hamilton Heights Middle and High Schools.

The elite exhibition will run through March 30 and open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Art teachers Erin Goodman (Heights Middle School) and Taylor Myers (Heights High School) will be on hand to welcome guests to the event. Light refreshments will be served.

Youth Art Month is a month of promoting art and art education in the United States. It is observed in March with thousands of American schools participating.
