HCAA offers weekly model painting classes

Simona Buna is a member of the Hamilton County Artists’ Association (HCAA) and organizes the weekly live model painting class. She picks a different person to come sit for three hours and let participating artists paint their renditions. From the mayor of Noblesville to the common person on the street, to children who can sit still long enough, Buna strives to get people with different character each week to model. With the Peony Festival, her latest class was all about peonies. If you ever wanted to try your hand at painting a live model, HCAA is the place. There is a $10 fee that goes to the model. Weekly classes are offered from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursdays.
