Finally playing at home, the Sheridan girls basketball team gave its home crowd a win.
The Blackhawks beat Frankfort 53-40. Sheridan trailed the Hot Dogs 22-20 at halftime, but took control of the game by outscoring Frankfort 20-4 in the third quarter.
Heather Barker had an outstanding game. She scored 15 points, made seven steals and handed out six assists. Holly Barker added 11 points and led the rebounding with six. Jillian O’Flaherty hit two 3-pointers. Allie Delph made four steals; the Blackhawks totaled 21 steals as a team.
Sheridan is now 4-2 and plays at Taylor on Friday to open Hoosier Heartland Conference play.
