‘Hawks overwhelmed by Blue Devils

Sheridan was overwhelmed by Class 2A Sectional 39 host Tipton Friday, as the Blue Devils beat the Blackhawks 79-41 in a semi-final game.
Tipton led 14-9 after the first quarter, then jumped ahead 43-22 by halftime. Evan Grinstead had a big first half, scoring 15 points, including three 3-pointers. The Blue Devils moved even further ahead in the third period, going up 68-33 by the end of the period.
Grinstead finished with 19 points. Silas DeVaney, who missed the entire season due to injury, played this game and scored seven points. Caleb Wright also had seven points.
Sheridan finished its season 4-19.
