Sheridan made a second-half comeback over Tri-Central to score a 38-36 Hoosier Heartland Conference win over Tri-Central Saturday at Hobbs Memorial Hall.
The Trojans led 14-8 after the first quarter and 23-16 at halftime. Sheridan began its run by outscoring Tri-Central 8-2 in the third period, then overtook the Trojans in the fourth.
Audrey Reed had another outstanding game, earning a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. Heather Barker added nine points, while Nixon Williams led the boards with 11 rebounds.
The Tri-Central game ended a string of five straight conference games for Sheridan. The Blackhawks are now 4-2 in the league, which puts them in third place currently behind first-place Rossville (3-0) and second-place Clinton Prairie (4-1). Sheridan will play Rossville in its final regular-season game on Jan. 23.
Overall, Sheridan is 8-4. The ‘Hawks will host Western on Tuesday.
