Hawks fall to Parke Heritage, play two HHC games this week

The Sheridan boys basketball team dropped a 66-58 game at Parke Heritage last Saturday.

The Wolves, one of the top teams in Class 2A, led 16-14 after one quarter, then jumped ahead 39-32 at halftime. Parke Heritage was ahead 56-41 after three periods; the Blackhawks made a comeback in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Wolves 17-10, but Parke Heritage held on for the win.

Caleb Wright scored 17 points for Sheridan, with Trey Page making four 3-pointers on his way to 14 points. Damon Winston scored 12 points and led the rebounds with six. Carson Wright collected five rebounds, while Caleb Wright and Winston both dished out four assists.

The Blackhawks saw a seven-game win streak come to an end, but are still 8-2 for the season. Sheridan plays two Hoosier Heartland Conference games this week, hosting Tri-Central Friday in a girls-boys doubleheader, then traveling to Rossville on Saturday.
