Sheridan dropped its regular-season finale on Friday, losing at Frankton 47-36.
The Eagles jumped out to a 12-6 lead after the first quarter, then went up 26-15 at halftime. The Blackhawks had a great defensive performance in the third period, only allowing Frankton four points. Sheridan cut the Eagles’ lead to 30-22 by the end of the third, but Frankton outscored the ‘Hawks 17-14 in the fourth.
Nolan Buckner led Sheridan with 18 points, including eight in the fourth quarter. Buckner had four 3-pointers for the game. Ethan Moistner added eight points, including two 3s, and led the rebounds with five.
The Blackhawks finished the regular season 5-17. They travel to Blackford on Tuesday to play the first game at Sectional 39, taking on Tipton. Tipoff is 6 p.m.
