‘Hawks drop HHC finale

Sheridan dropped its last Hoosier Heartland Conference game of the season on Friday, falling to Carroll 48-37 at Hobbs Memorial Gymnasium.
The Cougars led 13-5 after the first quarter, but the Blackhawks made a run in the middle periods. Sheridan cut Carroll’s lead to 21-17 by halftime, then led 28-25 after three quarters. The Cougars then took over in the fourth period, outscoring the ‘Hawks 23-9.
Nolan Buckner made four 3-pointers on his way to 13 points. Nick Roberts led the rebounds with five.
Sheridan finished conference play 2-6 and is 5-14 overall. The Blackhawks host Lapel on Tuesday.
