Hawks boys fly past Rossville, now 5-0 in HHC

The Sheridan boys took care of business again last Saturday, winning at Rossville 74-56 in a Hoosier Heartland Conference game.

The first quarter finished in a 13-13 tie, but Sheridan began to move in the second quarter, outscoring the Hornets 17-10 for a 30-23 halftime lead. The ‘Hawks broke the game open in the third quarter, putting up 27 points to lead 57-37.

Damon Winston led the scoring with 20 points and the rebounds with seven. Caleb Wright added 19 points and reached 1,000 career points during the game. Wright also handed out six assists while Winston dished out five assists, made four steals and blocked two shots. Trey Page scored 18 points, making four 3-pointers.

The Blackhawks are 5-0 in conference play and 10-2 overall. Sheridan is off until Jan. 24 when it plays another HHC game at Delphi.
