Harrison halts University win streak

The University boys saw their six-game winning streak come to an end Tuesday night as they dropped a 61-41 road decision to a tough West Lafayette Harrison squad.
University held a brief 3-2 lead on a Sabien Cain three pointer, but the Raiders scored the next seven points for a 10-3 lead and led 20-10 after the first period. Harrison stretched their lead to 33-21 at halftime and pushed the advantage to 44-27 after three quarters.
Cain led University with 14 points, including 12 in the first half. The 6-1 sophomore battled foul trouble throughout the night. Kahmi Bracey had nine points and Larry Pierce seven. Bryce Gray and Seth Hogg chipped in with five points each.
Jonah Lucas and Ben Henderson with a potent one-two punch for the Raiders, scoring 17 and 16 points respectively.
Harrison improves to 14-6 with the win while University falls to 13-7. The Trailblazers are next in action Friday night when they host Guerin Catholic in an all-county match-up. It will be Senior Night at the U Center.
