The Noblesville softball team left Harrison Wednesday night trailing the Raiders 7-0 in a Class 4A regional championship game.

The Millers returned to Harrison Thursday hoping to make a rally. But the Raiders wouldn’t allow it, completing their regional victory over Noblesville. The final score was 7-0.

The game had been suspended in the bottom of the fifth inning, right after Harrison hit a three-run home run. The Raiders got runners on second and third base, but the Millers were able to hold them off to end the inning.

Noblesville hit a pair of singles in the sixth inning. Brookelyn Grayson led off the inning with a center field hit, then moved to second base on a fielder’s choice from Haley Schatko. Maggie Kern sent a base hit into left field to get two Millers on, but Harrison got the next two outs.

Neither team got another runner on base after that. Noblesville pitcher Addison Retzinger got a strikeout for the first out in the bottom of the sixth, then induced a pair of flyouts for the next two. The Raiders finished the game with a groundout, a flyout, then a strikeout to clinch the victory.

Noblesville finished the game with six hits; Addi Emmerson hit a double during Wednesday play. Retzinger pitched a complete game, striking out four.

The Millers finished their season 19-8, including their first sectional championship since 2022.
