Harold David Cooper, 77, Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday evening, April 21, 2020 at Harbour Manor in Noblesville. Born December 24, 1942 in Pennington Gap, Va., he was the son of the late Bee and Vicy Elizabeth (Haynes) Cooper.
Harold was a supervisor at Woods Wire for several years. In his spare time, he tended bar at the Triple K in Sheridan.
Harold had a kind, loving spirit, and it seemed he never met a stranger. He loved sports and passionately followed the Colts and the Boilermakers, and most importantly, the Sheridan Blackhawks. Harold tried his best to attend every Blackhawk football game.
For Harold, family always came first. Goofing off with his nieces and nephews was one of his favorite activities.
Harold is survived by his brother, Grover Cooper (Geneva), Sheridan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Garland Odell, Leander, George, Jimmy and Calvin Lee Cooper; and one sister, Jannett Kinkead.
Through the recommendation of our public health officials with regards to public health and safety, private family services will be held at this time. Pastor Chris Welch will be officiating.
Harold will be laid to rest at Spencer Cemetery in Sheridan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kercheval Funeral Home in Sheridan.
