On Thursday, Hamilton Heights Superintendent Dr. Derek Arrowood announced that due to the rising COVID-19 metrics at the high school and related quarantines, all extracurricular activities and athletics at the high school are suspended through Friday, Dec. 11.
“It is our hope that taking the high school to the virtual format and putting a hold on all after school activities will allow for the needed time for those impacted by COVID-19 related factors to get healthy and return to in-person instruction and regularly scheduled extracurricular activities, practices, and athletic play,” Arrowood said. “At this time, there are no changes to in-person instruction, our daily operations, and extracurricular activities at the elementary and middle schools. We have followed our protocol in contacting the Hamilton County Health Department and the procedures as outlined in our Re-Entry Plan (see pages 5-7).”
