Hamilton Heights got a big win on Senior Night, beating New Castle 65-11 in a Tuesday home contest.
The Huskies led 17-2 after one quarter, then poured in 31 points in the second period to lead 48-4 at halftime. Three players reached double figures, led by Camryn Runner’s 22 points.
Ella Hickok added 19 points, including five 3-pointers. Kaylee Rhoton, one of the three seniors on the Heights team, added 12 points. Senior Jocelyn Wolfgang started and had four points. Manager Carly Koors was also honored.
Huskies coach Keegan Cherry said his team “again locked in on personnel and simply took away tendencies,” and also said he was really “proud of the maturity our girls showed.”
Heights is 16-3, having won its fourth straight game. The Huskies are back in action tonight, hosting Westfield in an all-county game, with varsity tipoff at 7:15 p.m.
