Hamilton Heights gets jazzy in last concert

Hamilton Heights Band Director Craig Waltz recently led his last jazz concert of the year at Hamilton Heights High School Auditorium. The Heights jazz band, which is considered a community band, hosts a special concert for the community every May, traditionally at Red Bridge Park. Heights graduates and members of the community were encouraged to participate in this concert, which was the group’s final concert of the year. Concertgoers were treated to 13 of the band’s favorite pieces and many soloists throughout with music that ranged from swing to Latin.
