Hamilton County Emergency Management (HCEM) congratulates Pam Eldridge for completing the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s basic academy. The relatively new program consists of five training courses, including:

  1. Foundations of Emergency Management
  2. Science of Disaster
  3. Planning: Emergency Operations
  4. Public Information
  5. Homeland Security and Exercise Evaluation

Each multi-day course is only offered in person and is difficult to find, and Pam traveled to Evansville and other locations to complete them. She is the first person in the department of nine to complete the program.

Pam has over 18 years of public service to the citizens of Hamilton County. She currently serves as the finance/administration section chief. As part of the executive team, she guides the finance aspects of the department, continues to be an instrumental as part of the Local Emergency Planning Committee for hazardous materials, and works in the Emergency Operations Center by applying her extensive training and experience.

“I am extremely proud of Pam’s continued efforts to improve her knowledge base while constantly enhancing processes and procedures for the department,” HCEM Executive Director Shane Booker said.

HCEM is a county public safety department comprised of nine employees and over 150 volunteers. They stand ready to serve the community 24/7/365 through information management, resource support, and consequence management. You can learn more about the department by visiting hamiltoncounty.in.gov/em.
