Organization recognized for marketing campaigns & eclipse promotion
The Indiana Tourism Association (ITA) presented Hamilton County Tourism with three Indiana Tourism Awards during its 2025 conference in Fort Wayne. A panel of out-of-state judges selected winners based on creativity, innovation, and maximization of budget. More than 110 entries were received across 26 categories.
First, Hamilton County Tourism won Best Culinary Focused Marketing Campaign for the 15th anniversary promotion of Tenderloin Tuesday. The digital passport garnered more than 6,400 pass holders and nearly 4,500 redemptions, which were record-breaking numbers for the annual campaign.
The organization also received the Best Overall Marketing Campaign (DMO) award for its Discover You – Spring Campaign. The campaign ran digitally, in print, radio, streaming, and broadcast in the spring of last year. It influenced 125,000 trips to Hamilton County and generated approximately $156 million in visitor spending.
Finally, Hamilton County Tourism received recognition for Best Eclipse Promotion (Marketing Budgets over $300,000) for planning and activations around the celestial event. According to data from Pacer.ai, 86,600 visitors came to Hamilton County on April 8, 2024.
