Hamilton County Republican Chairman, Mario Massillamany, strongly denounces what he calls remarks made by Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) who labeled Israel as a “racist state.”

“Such inflammatory and baseless comments not only misrepresent the longstanding U.S.-Israel relationship but also undermine efforts towards fostering peace and stability in the Middle East,” Massillamany said.

Members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, including Andre Carson (D-Ind.), did not vote to support a resolution which asserts that Israel “is not a racist or apartheid state,” rejects antisemitism and xenophobia in all forms, and states that the U.S. “will always be a staunch partner and supporter of Israel.”

Chairman Massillamany calls on Rep. Jayapal and her colleagues in the Progressive Caucus to refrain from making reckless statements and instead work towards promoting unity, peace, and understanding among nations.

“The United States has been and will continue to be a staunch partner and unwavering supporter of Israel, recognizing its right to exist as a sovereign nation,” Massillamany said.

Chairman Massillamany calls on Hamilton County Democrats to condemn the Progressive Caucus.

“The Hamilton County GOP remain committed to advocating for strong and enduring alliances with our Jewish community in Hamilton County and beyond,” Massillamany said.
