The Hamilton County Historical Society, based out of the Sheriff’s Residence and Jail Museum on the square in Noblesville, invites its members and the public to their Annual Meeting and reception at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1. The meeting will take place at the First Presbyterian Church, 1207 E. Conner St., Noblesville.
After a short business meeting detailing this year’s accomplishments and next year’s goals, a board election will be held. Then, a program will be given by Kent Yeager, Board President of the Indiana Barn Foundation. Light refreshments will be served while attendees learn about styles, characteristics, and significance of Indiana historic barns. Yeager will also discuss potential methods of preservation.
If you are interested in getting more involved with history in Hamilton County, this is the place to be. The Historical Society is always looking for more members and folks interested in committees or volunteering.
Attendees are encouraged to give a “pay what you can” freewill donation as an entrance fee at the door through cash, check, or credit card. Membership renewals for 2024 and 2025 will be discounted for current members, and if an attendee wants to become a member, special prices will be available.
If you would like to RSVP, please contact the museum at info@hamiltoncoinhs.com or call (317) 770-0775.
