The Hamilton County Health Department will reopen its mass vaccination clinic today at the 4-H Fairgrounds in Noblesville. Hours will be 1 to 7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
“At this time, we’ll only be administering the first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine, as well as booster shots,” said Christian Walker, the health department’s emergency preparedness coordinator. “Booster vaccines are currently limited to those who received their second Pfizer shot at least six months ago.”
Only those who are 65 years of age or older as well as those who are 18 years and older with underlying medical conditions or who live or work in high-risk settings are eligible for a Pfizer booster.
High-risk residences include health care settings, schools, correctional facilities, and homeless shelters. High-risk occupations include first responders (healthcare workers, firefighters, police, congregate care staff), education staff (teachers, support staff, daycare workers), food and agriculture workers, manufacturing workers, corrections workers, U.S. Postal Service workers, public transit workers, and grocery store workers.
