Hamilton County Fire Fighters Association announces endorsements

Fire fighters and paramedics have announced their support for candidates running in the May 7 municipal election.

Fire fighters rely on reasoned preparation, sound decisions and acting with purpose.  Without leadership galvanized with these principles, first responders and the citizens they serve are endangered.  As such, fire fighters and paramedics take the selection of elected leaders with great solemnity.

“These candidates have proven they consider public safety a priority. They know the dangers of our modern world and want disasters prevented and emergencies responded to quickly and professionally,” said Tony Murray, President of Hamilton County Professional Fire Fighters Association.

The endorsement vetting process reviews candidates’ positions and record on public safety matters and other key issues important to the sustained success of our communities.

“All first responders share their fellow citizens’ value of keeping our families safe,” Murray said. “We depend on elected leaders to provide us with the tools and training to prevent, mitigate and respond to the awful realities of our modern world.”
