Duane Koon, 80, Carmel, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018. He was born in Anderson, the son of Hallard Dale and Mary Carolyn Houston Koon.
Duane married Jeannine Usher in 1959 and embarked on a career including naval officer, teacher and pharmaceutical sales.
In addition to his parents, Duane was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammi; sister, Linda and brother, John.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannine; daughters, Juane (Jay) and Kenitra (Mark); eight grandchildren; and five siblings.
Family and friends will gather at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 12 at Carmel Friends Church, where the funeral service will begin at noon.
Burial will take place 11 a.m. on Friday, July 13 at Grant Memorial Park cemetery, Marion.
