Guerin Catholic pulled away in the fourth quarter during its game at Shortridge Tuesday, returning home with a 43-36 victory.
The Golden Eagles led 13-9 after the first period, with Ava Bills pouring in nine points. Guerin Catholic held a 29-23 advantage at halftime; Bills and Dana Dues both added seven second-quarter points. The Blue Devils came back to tie the game at 33-33 heading into the fourth period, but GC outscored Shortridge in that period by a 10-3 margin.
Bills scored another seven points in the fourth, bringing her total to a game-high 27 points.
The Golden Eagles are 4-3 and host Covenant Christian Saturday afternoon.
