Greyhounds fall to No. 2 Wildcats

Carmel gave a tough battle to Class 4A No. 2-ranked Lawrence North on Tuesday, before falling 51-45 in a Metropolitan Conference game at the Wildcats’ gym.
Lawrence North led 16-10 after the first quarter. The Greyhounds cut the lead to 27-22 by halftime, with Bridget Dunn scoring seven points in the second period. The Wildcats edged their lead back up to 36-30 after three quarters, and held on in the fourth.
Dunn finished the game with 15 points, while Riley Pennington added 14 points.
The game was the MIC opener for Carmel, which is now 3-4 overall. The Greyhounds will host another conference team, Warren Central, on Friday.
