Greg O’Connor seeking re-election to Noblesville Common Council

Greg O’Connor, a 10-year member of the Noblesville Common Council, is proud to announce he will seek another term. O’Connor represents District 5.

As a 30-year resident of Noblesville, two-term Noblesville Common Council President, current Chair of the Finance Committee, Economic Development Committee member and a member of the Noblesville Plan Commission, O’Connor has played an integral role in the growth and development of Noblesville.

Over the last decade, O’Connor has been actively involved in new economic development, workforce development, streamlining budgeting processes, implementing quality of life initiatives and providing more educational opportunities for the residents of Noblesville.

Accomplishments include:

  • Bringing Ivy Tech to Noblesville
  • Working closely with the City’s Controller to collaborate on accounting system changes leading to greater transparency for Noblesville’s taxpayers
  • Engaging with new and existing employers to bring over 2,000 new and promised jobs to Noblesville
  • Supported the construction of both the Midland Trace Trail Extension and Little Chicago Trail
  • Collaborated with the City Engineer on completion of two new roundabouts at Greenfield Avenue, Christian Avenue and 10th Street, as well as at 19th and Pleasant streets.
  • Engaged with Economic Development to bring Borg Warner to Noblesville and construct improvements to 141st Street.

In O’Connor’s professional career, he continues to build strong relationships in the business community locally, nationally and internationally as the Senior Vice President and Director for BMO Harris Bank.

“For me, making a true difference takes dedication, teamwork and spending time listening to the community. With my experience in the business community and as a Councilman I intend to move Noblesville forward and contribute to its legacy,” O’Connor said.

O’Connor and his wife, Teena, have lived in Noblesville for three decades. Their two children, Kerry and Evan, are proud alumni of Noblesville Schools. O’Connor is employed by BMO Harris Bank, N.A. as a Senior Vice President and Director. He also serves Noblesville as a Riverview Health Foundation board member, Noblesville Chamber of Commerce Business Advisory member, Noblesville Schools Miller Ambassador, Noblesville Schools Education Foundation life member and a Community Health Network Foundation Advisory Board member. Greg and Teena are both proud graduates of Butler University.

O’Connor will be on the ballot in the May 2019 primaries.
